TWR Discussion: Stephen's Castle Coaches

Yesterday I got Stephen's Castle Coaches at Toys R Us, and they are very nice. I did a short discussion on them which you can watch below. People say the the wooden railway item's don't come with checklists anymore, but mine came with a 2013 Collector's Check List. Enjoy the Video.

S17 Episode Overview: Santa's Little Engine

Summary

It was winter holiday's on Sodor, and Thomas was at Ulfstead Castle dropping of visitor's, then Sir Top Ham Hatt came in Winston, and Sir Robert Norramby told him to be Santa for the opening, and to drive a sleigh.

Sir Top Ham Hatt was worried because he never used one, so he tried to make Winston look like one, but that didn't work. The Thomas collected the Sleigh from the dock's, and delivered it to Ulfstead Castle, but once it was unloaded Thomas bumped the handle and it slid down the hill.

Thomas chased after it, and pulled it back up, but when he got back he had branches around his funnel which made him look like a reindeer, so Sir Robert put a red nose on him, so he was Thomas the red nosed engine, then they went in the castle to see the children.

My Own Thoughts

This episode still says the Holiday's at the beginning which I don't like. The whole thing about Sir Top Ham Hatt driving a sleigh was strange, because there was no possible way to drive it without Thomas hauling it. Over all the episode was funny, and I still enjoyed it.

Tale of the Brave Trailer Released

You Tuber TTTEArchives has uploaded the Tale of the Brave trailer. There are four new character's revealed, and Oliver is also returning in CGI. The character's are: Timothy, Gator, Reg the Crane, and Marion. The official Tale of the Brave release date is unknown.

Thomas & Friends: 2013 Review

2013

Last year Thomas & Friends had a lot of changes, including an animation switch over to ARC, which wasn't that good. Season 17 and the new writer(Andrew Brenner) was great, and it was nice to see the return of old forgotten character's like Bill, Ben, Duck, and Harvey(cameo).

Season 17 had 26 episode's, and also had a new character named Porter who is a dockside steam engine with three sand domes. The Thomas Wooden Railway product's changed this year, as Mattel re-leased lot's of engine's with ARCs' animation look, and made other new item's as well.

King of the Railway was a good movie, and had new character's named Conner, Catlin, Stephen, and Millie. The background music was good, and it was nice to see the troublesome truck's have more expression in the CGI.

There were five DVD's last year, and they were Go Go Thomas, Muddy Matters, Animal's Aboard!, Railway Mischief, Santa's Little Engine, and The Thomas Way. Animal's Aboard! had the same episode's as Curious Cargo, so it's odd that they even released it.

TWR Community

Last year Keekre24(thomaswoodenrailway) left the community because other compainy's were trying to copyright his video's, but the other remaining member's are still here including Percyno6, MrMPS2002, OliverDuck, WoodenRailwayReviews, and a few more.

What's to Come

This year Hit Entertainment and Mattel are releasing season 18 along with a movie titled Tale of the Brave. The first character for the movie has been named Timothy, and they are also re-releasing Wooden Railway Bill, Ben, Lady, and Duck.

Season 17 Audio Reviews and Thomas News Show Coming

Starting January 2014 I'm going to upload audio review's of season 17 episode's, and run a weekly Thomas & Friends news show, the reason I haven't been doing that is because there isn't much to talk about, but I'm going to start with a Thomas & Friends 2013 recap.

On the Thomas & Friends news show I will try to cover Episode Review's, Thomas Wooden Railway, Thomas Wooden Railway Community, news story's from other video's and blog's and more.

The show will be hosted on my RareTWRHunter You Tube Channel.

2014 Thomas Wooden Railway Items Revealed

Traincellar.com has revealed the 2014 stock of Thomas Wooden Railway item's on there website.   You can see the full list of items at the link here: Full Item List

There is only one image of a 2014 item revealed so far, and that is the Celebration Salty, I'm guessing that it's from a season 18 episode or something.

They are finally releasing a wooden railway Duck, Lady, and they are also doing a Merrick the crane set from Blue Mountain Mystery. There will be more post's when the other picture's come out.

Siplls & Thrills DVD Cover Found

Thanks to Roll Along Thomas I found the front cover image of Spills & Thrills. The title is similar to Spills & Chills, a classic series DVD that was released years ago.

The front cover is based off of the season 17 episode, The Smelly Kipper. It's strange because the picture below was found on Amazon, but I can't find the product page for the DVD or the episode titles.
