An Idea For The Sodor Island Fansite

I have had a little idea for the Sodor Island Fansite. My idea is that there could be a Thomas Wooden Railway Community mini-site on it. I just thought this was a good idea because there are a lot of Wooden Railway You Tubers and there videos don't get put on line in one place.

This mini-site wouldn't use up much space on the Sodor Island Fansite because You Tube has a in-bedding gadget and people would not have to upload the videos on to the Sodor Island Fansite.

On the mini-site each Thomas Wooden Railway You Tuber would get a page with a text box with more about them, a few of there videos and links to there You Tube account and Twitter account.

A lot of people have been mad about people leaving You Tube like ThomasWoodenRailway and what I am saying here is that if it was on Sodor Island Fansite all the recent information on the Thomas Wooden Railway community would be in one place.

Also please comment on this post if you think it is a good idea to have a Thomas Wooden Railway community mini-site on the Sodor Island Fansite.

Episode Review: Ho Ho Snowman

Plot

Charlie hides behind a snowman and as Henry passes, Charlie pretends to be it. 

Review

This was a very good episode just because I like how the snow was animated. Charlie is being way over used in the CGI series like I have said before.

There are two things wrong with this episode though. One is that Charlie and Thomas are randomly shunting trucks in the bottom middle of Gordon's Hill. Why can't they be shunting trucks in the yard or something?

The face animation on the trucks was very good. I just wish that they showed the trucks faces more than they do though. They are very well done.

The second thing wrong with this episode is that when Charlie pretends to be a snow man talking Henry thinks it is really the snow man. A lot of people pointed this out all ready.

Isn't Henry a old and wise engine who knows the difference between real and fake things? That is the second thing wrong with this episode. Henry should have known that the it was Charlie behind the snow man talking.

Over All

I give the fifth episode of season 16 a 4/10

Episode Review: Percy and the Monster of Brendam

Plot

Percy believes one of Salty's tales and looks for "the monster of Brendam". 

Review

This episode was I think one of the best episodes of season 16. It is nice to see so many engines in this episode and another nice thing about this episode is that we don't see Thomas at all. In season 13 and 14 we say Thomas in just about every episode and his plot lines are just stupid.

I think the only thing wrong with this episode is that the fog is just way to thick. Even the coal in the season 14 episode Thomas In Charge was just way to thick on the screen. I didn't like the part where Butch backed in to Toby's load of pipes and they went all over the road.

That part was just to like the first CGI episode Butch appeared in called Stuck On You. In Stuck On You Butch backed in to some pipes and knocked them off the side of Harold's pad.

Other than that the rest of the episode was good. I don't like how Henry was scared from Percy telling him about the monster of Brendam. I thought that Henry was a old and wise engine.

The riming in this episode was when Percy was telling the engines about The Monster of Brendam. It is a little funny that Percy would tell the other engines about the Monster of Brendam when they aren't even at Brendam Docks.

Over All

I give the forth episode of season 16 a 7/10

TWR: MURPHYPRODUCTIONS828 to Make Second Wooden Railway Short

MURPHYPRODUCTIONS828 is going to upload his Tales of a Wooden Railway short #2 on You Tube very soon.

It looks like from the Announcement video he has made about the upcoming short that it is going to be something about diesels.

There was no sneak peek because he didn't want to give away the plot line of the next Tale of a Wooden Railway short.

In the video he also said that it might be up this weekend. In the two little pictures in the video there are a lot of diesels so this is going to be a very different from his last short.

More Reviews On The Way!

Right now on the Thomas DVD Guy official blog I am posting Season 16 reviews and right now there are three posted. There are twenty episodes in season 16 of Thomas and Friends and I will be doing a review on each of them in a small posts.

After the episode reviews of Season 16 there will be DVD reviews. I will be reviewing all DVDs from seasons 13,14 and 15.

I am also going to do reviews on Hero Of The Rails,Misty Island Rescue, Day Of The Diesels and Blue Mountain Mystery when it comes out this fall.

I have a long list on the right hand side of the blog regarding all the future posts that I am working on. That list is kept well updated so you can read the list to see what I am posting next.

Also my blog is all most at 2,000 views so I am very happy about that and thanks to everyone who has viewed and read my Thomas DVD Guy blog.

Episode Review: Express Coming Through

One big thing wrong with this episode is that Thomas can't really pull the express. In the original series they say that when Gordon wasn't there they needed two tank engines to pull the express.

When the cheeks went bright red on Thomas from pulling the heavy express I thought the animation on that was very good.

When Thomas kept dropping off the passengers to different places on the Island Of Sodor to make the express lighter that is what made the episode so repetitive.

Dowager Hatt was very funny to because I don't think anyone can eat a whole cake in one siting. It is funny that Dowager Hatt didn't notice that people went of the express.
This episode was one of the pretty bad episodes of season 16 just because of all the bad points that I have spotted about the episode.

Over All

I give the third episode of season 16 a 5/10

Episode Review: Ol' Wheezy Wobbles

The first nice thing about this episode is that Ferdinand says something other than That's Right for once. A lot of people hate the Logging Locos for some reason and I don't know why.

Den and Dart being nice to Thomas is very strange. You would expect Diesel 10 to come out of the Diesel works telling Thomas to stop bossing Den and Dart around.

Why is it that they need two drivers to fix Ol' Wheezy and not just one? I found that very strange watching the episode. Den and Dart don't even fix Ol' Wheezy at all there drivers do it.

It is very strange that Ol' Wheezy put all the logs in to the logging pond. Why doesn't Ol' Wheezy behave and load the logs on to the flat beds like he is supposed  to?

There are some really good camera angles in this episode unlike the other episodes of Season 16. The camera angle that I liked was where they showed Den and Dart together on Misty Island, something that Hit Entertainment has never done before.

Over All

I give the second episode of Season 16  a 5/10

Episode Review: Race To The Rescue

Race To The Rescue is the first episode of season 16 and is what I think the worst episode of season 16. Sharon Millers riming in the season 16 episodes is something else.

Charlie is being way over used in the new CGI series, he has been in so many episodes and the plots that Sharon Miller gives him are just silly, even though Charlie all ready is silly.

There are a few things wrong with this episodes and one is that Flynn has to go all the way back to one spot on the Island Of Sodor to get from the road to the rails.

In real life no one need to do that. The Trucks are designed so that it drives off the track and the rail wheels go up.

Now Flynn was very dumb in this episode and he did not sound like a brave fire fighting engine at all. Flynn felt silly because Charlie had called him a big red wobble on wheels on the road.

A real brave fire fighting engine would not listen to a silly little purple engine and go fight the fire that he was called to.

A lot of people think that this episode is just a re-right of Race To The Rescue. Roll Along Thomas has had a poll on his blog regarding witch Flynn episode was the worst. Fiery Flynn was the worse episode in the poll results.

Over All

I give the first episode of Season 16 a 3/10

Website: DVD Page In The Making

Right now on the Thomas DVD Guy Website I am working on a DVD page witch will have all information on the new Thomas And Friends CGI DVDs along with some of the old ones.

On The DVDs Page the information shown about each DVD will be the episode titles and a link the the page for the DVD on Hit News Online.

When the DVD is on the Hit Entertainment US Store there will be a link to that web page as well. The date that this web page will come out is yet unknown.

Thomas Wooden Railway Fan Blog Open

I have published yet another blog to the world wide web and on this new Thomas Wooden Railway Fan Blog I am posting updates on everything Thomas Wooden Railway.

Blog Name Change

I have gust finished changing my blogger name from Thomas DVD Guy to The Thomas Fan. I have not heard of anyone else on You Tube by this name so I think I am all right.

My name on You Tube is still Thomas DVD Guy because you can't change the name of your You Tube channel once it is made.

I think The Thomas Fan is a better name than Thomas DVD Guy because I Don't really review the Thomas And Friends DVDs anyway.

News: Now Posting About Google Website Updates

My Google Website is getting bigger because I am updating it all most everyday now. Now that I am updating my website a lot I will be making posts on my Website news.

On my Google Website right now is a You Tube page along with: Episodes, Movies and a lot more coming soon, along with a built in website blog.

I really enjoy making my website but it does not have a built in tracker but google has there own tracker but I don't want to give Google the information it asks for.

Enjoy my new website ans please leave a comment on one of my posts if you like the website. Again I don't have a website tracker.

Google Website Open

I have opened my Google website after working on it for a long time and making content on some of my pages.

Now on my Google website there is a Feature Length Specials page along with You Tube and Episodes. There is also one for Thomas And Friends DVDS.

All of my website is Thomas And Friends I will not be putting in any Chuggingtion stuff because I want this website just for Thomas And Friends.

The Thomas Fan Base News show on You Tube will be up my the end of April or before.

Episode Recap: Thomas & Gordon

Plot

Thomas is a blue tank engine who works at a big station on the Island of Sodor, shunting coaches to their proper places. He enjoys teasing the other engines, especially Gordon, the biggest and proudest engine. When his teasing goes too far, Gordon decides to teach him a lesson. 

Review

This as most of us know is the first ever episode of Thomas & Friends in the T.V. series. The Rev. W. Awdry wrote this episodes but it is not one of his best episodes yet. I like the older episodes from the Railway Series books a little better that the T.V. show episode. Mostly for the T.V. show episodes I enjoy the narrow Gauge  railway episodes.

But over all this episode was OK concerting that it was the first ever episode of the T.V. series.

Over All Rating

I give the first episode of the Thomas & Friends T.V. series a 7/10

 

I am Back With Big News!

This blog is getting so popular that I have diced not to stop working on it. There will be some very big updates happening to this blog in the new Month of April and this post will tell you about them.

Firstly I am working on a drop down menu for the top of the blog, Google does have there own build in page bar but you can't make a drop down menu with it. I will be using HTML to create this drop down menu.

The layout on this blog has all ready changed a little. I have put a different template on the blog. The template that used to be on the blog was the Awesome Ice. Template, now I have changed it to just the Simple one.

Episode Recaps

Next on the blog is Episode Recaps. There are now 16 seasons of Thomas And Friends so I am going to do a recap post for every episode. The posts will have a Plot,Pros,Cons and a review.

Stand Alone Pages

Along side with the blog posts there will be some stand alone pages made for the blog. The first stand alone page will be pages for DVDs, Episodes,Movies and three product pages, one for Wooden Railway, Take n' Play and one for Trackmaster.

So the Stand Alone Pages will be a very big update made to this blog and they will be worked on in Month of April.

The Thomas On You Tube Blog

I will be working on yet another blog called Thomas On You Tube that will have updates on videos that Thomas And Friends make.

The Thomas On You Tube blog will be launched to the Internet Publicly by May 1, 2012.
