2014 Thomas Wooden Railway Items Revealed

Traincellar.com has revealed the 2014 stock of Thomas Wooden Railway item's on there website.   You can see the full list of items at the link here: Full Item List

There is only one image of a 2014 item revealed so far, and that is the Celebration Salty, I'm guessing that it's from a season 18 episode or something.

They are finally releasing a wooden railway Duck, Lady, and they are also doing a Merrick the crane set from Blue Mountain Mystery. There will be more post's when the other picture's come out.

Thanks to Roll Along Thomas for the alert

Siplls & Thrills DVD Cover Found

Thanks to Roll Along Thomas I found the front cover image of Spills & Thrills. The title is similar to Spills & Chills, a classic series DVD that was released years ago.

The front cover is based off of the season 17 episode, The Smelly Kipper. It's strange because the picture below was found on Amazon, but I can't find the product page for the DVD or the episode titles.

hitnewsonline.com website down?

I was looking at the Roll Along Thomas blog, and I came across a post about the season 14 DVD, Wobbly Wheels & Whistles. He said the information was found on hitnewsonline, but that website is having a server error.

Just wondering if Hit Entertainment took the website down when Mattel bought Thomas & Friends out for some reason, but that wouldn't effect the rest of the company, would it?

Leave a comment if you can see this website on your computer, maybe it's just me that can't view it.

Two New Tale of the Brave Book Covers Released

Thanks to Roll Along Thomas, I found two new book cover's. The first one shows a strange new green engine, his shape is odd looking.

This book is a two in one, and the titles are: Thomas & the Fearsome Footprints and Thomas the Brave. I really wonder what the footprints are from.

All five book's for Tale of the brave come out on July 22, 2014.

ThomasWoodenRailway(Keekre24) Officially Leaves You Tube

ThomasWoodenRailway, the most popular user in the Thomas Wooden Railway Community has left You Tube because of other company's trying to copyright his content.

He was just going to finish up his 14 season 11 episodes and make his 2014 movie, "Claw of the Law". Below is the description on his about page.

Thank you all for the wonderful support you've provided to me over these past few years. Unfortunately, my time on YouTube has come to a definite end. My episodes are suddenly being copyrighted by companies all over the globe and they're damaging my views as we speak. In short, I will no longer be making episodes. I'm afraid that if I upload another video, these companies will try to copyright it and end up shutting my channel down, as these companies do have the power to do just that. What once was a wonderful hobby as turned into a nightmare. YouTube isn't even YouTube anymore. They cater to the highest bidder and leave independent filmmakers like myself behind in the dust. The Thomas Wooden Railway Community on YouTube is almost nonexistent at this point, which is sad to see considering where we were just a few years ago. Anyway, thank you once again for the continued support over the past few years; it's been a blast. But now it's time to move on. Thank you all and God bless. - TWR

The few user's left making TWR remake's and episode's are Percyno6 and EnterprisingEngine93. The TWR Community needs some more member's to make TWR video's, because right now there isn't much else going on.

Jlouvier is still making his character friday video's, and WoodenRailwayReview's should have another review out sometime in December of this year, that's all for now.

Check out ThomasWoodenRailways' Channel

Update: He is back on You Tube after waiting eight month's for the copyright claim's to go away. He stated in a new video that he is going to upload the rest of season 11 and Claw of the Law.

2014 Thomas Special Titled "Tale of the Brave"

King of the Railway has been on DVD for all most a month, and Hit Entertainment has all ready announced next year's movie title, Tale of the Brave.

Wikia user and You Tuber, Steam Team, has posted the first book cover on the TTTE Wikia, which at the same time shows the official logo. According to the TTTE Wikia, the special will be released sometime around September 2014, and you can see the plot for the film below.

When Thomas spots some giant footprints his friend Percy quickly becomes convinced that there is a monster on the island. When an unusual engine, with sloping boilers, first appears, Percy believes he must be the monster but the new engine proves to be a good friend and ally. He even helps Percy discover what it really means to be brave.

I'm not sure where the Wikia got the plot from, but it sound's like there is going to be a new character. The fan base is still wondering if the Thomas World War 2 themed movie is coming out next year, but it looks canceled.

S17 Episode Overview: The Frozen Turntable

Season 17, Episode 24
Air Date:  Air Date Unknown, Seen on Santa's Little Engine DVD
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
One evening the engines return to Tidmouth sheds and discover that the turntable is frozen shut, so there is only one shed. All the engines agreed that Percy should get the shed because he has to deliver the mail train.

All the other engines find different place's to sleep on Sodor, but Gordon didn't like and of them so he slept at Tidmouth sheds, but when Percy got back he had to go all the way to Whiffs' waste dump because that was the on;y spare shed left.

In the morning Gordon didn't get get  any sleep anyway because of the workmen working on the turntable, and Gordon was stuck in the shed the whole day because the turntable had jammed in a different place after working for a few seconds.

Latter Sir Top Ham Hatt was very cross with Gordon for not sleeping some were else. James had to take the express, and Gordon realized that sleeping in Tidmouth sheds wasn't such a good idea after all.

My Own Thoughts
This episode hasn't aired in the UK yet, but a You Tube user has uploaded it from the Santa's Little Engine DVD that just came out a few day's ago. This episode was good, and it was nice to see so many places on Sodor in one episode, but it was hard to see in the night time animation.

This review was made on October 17th, 2013, but wasn't published until the episode aired on T.V. in the UK.

S17 Episode Overview: No Snow for Thomas

Season 17, Episode 22
Air Date: Air Date Unknown, seen on Santa's Little Engine DVD
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
All the engine's were wearing there snowplows, but Thomas didn't like his, so he lied to his driver who took it of in a siding near Thomas' branch line. The next day It snowed and Sir Top Ham Hatt told Thomas he had to stay in the shed all day without a snowplow. Emily cleared Thomas' branch line, then took Annie and Charabel out.

Latter, Thomas decided to find his snowplow since Emily had cleared his line, but it started snowing again, and Thomas got stuck. Emily found Thomas' snowplow and rescued Thomas, then they went to see the children's snowman, and Sir Top Ham Hatt joked when the children knocked his hat of with a snowball.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good, and it was nice that Emily finally had a good roll in a episode, but it would be nice if Andrew Brenner brought back Donald and Douglas back in season 18. Thomas' driver could have easily dug Thomas out of the drift, but the ending would have been different.

Blog + You Tube Update: November 2013

 You Tube
Well I haven't been blogging much lately, but I am making lots of You Tube video's. My new series, Thomas DVD Discussion's has just started today, and there will hopefully be a daily DVD discussion.

I plan to start a Trackmaster series starting sometime in early 2014, and I am scripting some of the episode's. I now have the Window's Movie Maker program so I can put seen changes in my videos, which makes them look more professional.

Blog
My episode reviews are still coming out, and I'm going to review them all the way up to season 16. A new post series will be starting in December called "The Daily Character" were I show the history and description of each character.

It looks like I'm the only person doing season17 reviews because Steam Team has stopped uploading pictures for Blogger's, and people won't review the episode's unless they have an image.

Next year the blog may have a new look including a better background image, a banner, and an updated sidebar.

Episode Overview: The Afernoon Tea Express

Season 17, Episode 22
Air Date: October 22, 2013
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont and Paul Larson
Narrator: Mark Moraghan
Summary
One day the Earl asked Stephen to bring tea and cream to the Castle from the docks for the visitor's. Stephen got to the docks and he was always back on time because every time different engine would push him to the signal.

One day when Stephen was taking some jam there wasn't anyone to push him, so Spencer pushed him, but he went to face and Stephen bashed in to the buffers' spilling jam all over the Earl, Sir Top Ham Hatt and Lady Hatt.

The Earl was cross, but Stephen had an idea, they would go to the docks, get the jam, and have the afternoon tea on the way back to the Castle in Stephen's coach.

Characters Seen in Episode

Gordon

Spencer

Stephen

Sir Top Ham Hatt

The Earl of Sodor

Lady Hatt

My Own Thoughts
This was the last episode that we haven't seen of Season 17 all ready. This was a good episode, but I didn't think Stephen was strong enough to pull that much.  The last four episode's of Season 17 are Christmas themed and my reviews will  be coming out this week.

Episode Review: The Old Iron Bridge

Season 7, Episode 4
Air Date: October 11th, 2003
Writer(s): Paul Larson
Narrator: Michael Brandon

Summary
Skarloey was crossing the Old Iron Bridge, but he got stuck half way so Rheneas had to rescue him.
But after his accident he was scared of the bridge and wouldn't cross it, so he had to shunt in the yard. One day Rheneas went so far he ran out of water on the bridge.

Skarloey went to rescue him, he was scared at first, but he pulled Rheneas to safety in the end, and he was never scared of the bridge again.

My Own Thoughts
The background music on this episode was good, but there wasn't any explanation why the bridge broke. There isn't much to say about these episode's because they are so short.

S17 Episode Overview: Gone Fishing

Season 17 Episode 21
Air Date: October 21, 2013
Writer(s): Andrew Brenner
Narrator: Mark Moraghan
Director(s): David Baas and Robert Anderson(ARC Productions)
Producer(s): Ian McCue and Halim Jabbour

Summary
One day Harvey was loading some trucks at the docks that had to go to the Diesel Works, but there wasn't anyone to pull the train, so Sir Top Ham Hatt told Harvey to pull the train. Bill and Ben teased him at first, but he didn't mind.

Harvey struggled up Gordon's hill, then raced down the other side.  Harveys' trucks had all fallen of the rails, but he was a realized he was a crane to, so he soon had it all taken care of.

When Harvey got back to the Docks Sir Top Ham Hatt was proud of him, and Bill, Ben, Porter and Harvey thought the Harvey fishing joke was a good one.

Characters Seen In Episode

Thomas

Gordon

Bill and Ben

Harvey

Porter

Sir Top Ham Hatt

The Dock Manager

My Own Thoughts
It was great to see Harvey in the series again after so many years, but it seems that Porter is replacing Salty at the Docks, and we haven't seen him for the last two episode's. It would be nice to see Porter and Salty working together like Sir Too Ham Hatt said they would.

S17 Episode Overview: No More Mr. Nice Engine

Season 17,  Episode 17
Air Date: October 17th, 2013(UK)
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont and Paul Larson
Narrator: Mark Moraghan
Director(s): David Baas
Producer(s): Ian McCue and Halim Jabbour

Summary
Diesel was shunting trucks in the yard when Edward came to get his train. Then Hiro came to get the supplies for the cafeteria, but when Sir Top Ham Hatt opened the milk truck the milk spilled all over Sir Top Ham Hatts' trousers.

Hiro went back for another load of supplies, but Diesel sill thought Hiro should give the trucks a biff to show them who's boss. Hiro wouldn't listen, so Diesel coupled to the end of the train and helped the trucks biff and bash.

Once they got to Knapford station Sir Top Ham Hatt discovered that Diesel was making the trouble all along, so he told Hiro to teach Diesel how to handle the truck's.

Characters Seen in Episode

Thomas

Edward

Hiro

Sir Top Ham Hatt

Troublsome Trucks

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good. It is nice that the CGI truck's have more expression and eye movement now, but why is Hiro still on Sodor? I thought he went back home to see his friend's, but he is here for marketing purposes.

S17 Episode Overview: Thomas' Shortcut

Season 17, Episode 20
Air Date: October 18th, 2013
Writer(s): Andrew Brenner
Narrator: Mark Moraghan
Director(s): David Baas
Producer(s): IanMcCue and Halim Jabbour

Summary
Thomas and Bertie were racing a lot again, but Thomas wondered why Bertie always won. Then Bertie explained that he was re-routed and had a shortcut.

Thomas thought he would find a shortcut on his branch line, but he got stuck down a siding and Harvey had to rescue him, so Bertie took his passengers. Then Thomas deiced that racing wasn't as important as his branch line, so he didn't go looking for shortcut's any more.

Characters Seen in This Episode

Thomas

Edward

Percy

Annie and Clarabel

Bertie

Sir Top Ham Hatt

My Own Thoughts
It was nice to see Thomas and Bertie race again after them talking about doing it for so long. I was expecting that Harvey would have a  speaking roll in this episode, but it was just a cameo.

S17 Episode Overview: Away From the Sea

Season 17, Episode 18
Air Date: October 18th, 2013
Writer(s): Andrew Brenner
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
One day Salty was working at the Docks, but he wasn't felling well, so Sir Top Ham Hatt ordered a new engine named Porter to do his work while he was being fixed at the Diesel Works. When Salty was away he was worried that Porter would take his job, so he told Den and Dart to hurry up.

When Salty was leaving he was in such a rush that he bashed in to the new shipment of oil. Den and Dart tried to get him to have a wash, but he wanted to get back to the docks. Salty put sand on the rails to stop the oil from making him slip, but when he got to the Docks he ran put of sand and slammed in to party decorations.

Porter raced to the other side of the train and stopped it. Then Sir Top Ham Hatt came and explained that Porter and Salty were going to work together and that Porter wasn't going to take Saltys' job. Then Salty had a wash and Salty and Porter became good friends.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good, but I never knew that engine's had sand box's, that part was interesting. One error was that there wasn't any explanation why Salty got sick. This episode is uploaded on You Tube, but I don't promote copyrighted material.

Episode Review: Bill, Ben and Fergus

Season 7, Episode 3
Air Date: October 4th, 2003
Writer(s): Brian Trueman
Narrator: Michael Brandon

Summary
Fergus, a railway traction engine was going to work at the quarry. On his way Thomas warned him about Bill and Ben, but he didn't listen. Latter Bill and Ben were up to there old tricks. Fergus told them to do it right, but the didn't.

Latter Bill and Ben went to the docks to collect the rock crusher, and when they got back Fergus told them not to go near the rock face because it was unsafe, but Bill and Ben took no notice, then Fergus pushed them out of the way just in time, but Fergus was berried in rocks.

It took a long time to dig him out, but on one worked harder to help than Bill and Ben. After that Bill and Ben said sorry and they agreed to do it right together.

My Own Thoughts
Fergus is introduced in this episode out of no were working at the quarry. There should be an explanation where these characters came from in the older episodes. I don't like this episode because it's still teaching children revenge.

Episode Review: Percy Gets It Right

Season 7, Episode 2
Air Date: October 6th, 2003
Writer(s): Paul Larson
Narrator: Michael Brandon

Summary
All the engines were taking loads to the market, but one day Percy was taking a load of tomato's on Toby's line, the tracks were wobbly and unsafe, so Toby's driver marked the area and went to tell Sir Top Ham Hatt.

When Percy got there Sir Top Ham Hatt was telling Thomas to collect a prize bull from Toby's line, Percy tried to explain that it wasn't safe, but they wouldn't listen. After Thomas collected the bull he hurried home, but on the way there was a landslide and Thomas got stuck.

That night Percy was worried because Thomas wasn't back yet, so he went to find him, and he soon found him at the landslide. It was dawn when the line was clear and Percy hauled Thomas to the station were Sir Top Ham Hatt said they should listen to Percy more from now on.

My Own Thoughts
Percy should have said that the tracks were dangerous and unsafe instead of just saying they were wobbly.

S17 Episode Overview: Too Many Fire Engines

Season 17, Episode 16
Air Date: October 8th, 2012(US)
Writer(s): Andrew Brenner
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
Thomas was at the water tower with Sir Top Ham Hatt and three railroad inspectors. Then they went to the Sodor Search & Rescue Center, the inspectors were impressed, but they didn't think Sodor needed two fire engines. Then the alarm sounded and Flynn and Belle raced to put out the shed fire, but Flynn got a flat tire and Belle put out the fire. Flynn was disappointed, but Butch towed him back.

A few day's latter there was a forest fire and Flynn rushed to put it out, but when he got there Belle had all ready put it out.  Latter Thomas came to see Flynn and told him Sir Top Ham Hatt wanted him to be on guard at Ulfstead castles' fire work show, but he told Thomas to get Belle instead.

That night Butch came and told Flynn there was a fire at Bremdom Docks, Flynn rushed off and saved a store room. On his way home he saw the fireworks, but he knew Belle was keeping everything safe, and he also knew that Sodor needed two fire engines.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good, but why did they need three railway inspectors? In the last episode's they only used one. It was nice that Flynn finally had a good story plot, because he acted so silly in the past Sharon Miller episode's.

Episode Review: Emily's New Coaches

Season 7, Episode 1
Air Date: October 4th, 2003
Writer(s): Jan Page
Narrator: Michael Brandon

Summary
A new engine came to Sodor, here name was Emily and Thomas went to Knapford station to meet her. Then Sir Top Ham Hatt told Emily to collect coaches and to learn the line. She didn't have any coaches so she took Annie and Clarabel by mistake.

When she was out all the engines looked at here funny and didn't whistle back. Latter at the yard Oliver explained that she had Thomas' coaches. She went to apologise, but on her way Oliver got stuck at the level crossing.

Thomas was coming so Emily pushed Oliver out of the way just in time. Back at the yard Sir Top Ham Hatt was pleased with Emily and gave her two new coaches. Thomas said he was sorry for being cross and they became good friends.

My Own Thoughts
It was strange that Emily had to pull coaches if she was just learning the line, and Sir Top Ham Hatt should have told her which ones to collect in the first place.

New look Bill, Ben and Porter for Thomas Wooden Railway

I found two new images, one of new look Bill and Ben and the other is Porter.

These new moudles are from the season 17 episode Bill or Ben?. Bill is repainted because Sir Top Ham Hatt wanted to tell them apart so they couldn't play any more tricks.

This is the new image of Porter, he looks a lot like Charlie. It isn't yet known what his job or character is, but he will be seen in a new season 17 episode latter this month.

Thanks to Ois894 for the alert

S17 Episode Overview: Bill or Ben?

Season 17, Episode 15
Air Date: October 4th, 2013
Writer(s): Andrew Brenner
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
Bill and Ben were working when a big fast streamline engine went by them. Bill asked Thomas who he was, Thomas said it was Conner. Latter Bill saw Conner, he asked him to race to Ulfstead castle, but Conner thought it wasn't fair, but he raced anyway.

When Conner got to Ulfstead castle he thought he saw Bill there, bit it was really Ben. Then Bill(Ben) asked Conner to race back to the station, but on the way there Conner was focusing so much on racing that he didn't see the red single, and he nearly hit Henry.

Then Sir Top Ham Hatt came on Winston, he was cross with Conner, but then Bill and Ben came by and Sir Top Ham Hatt learned that they had tricked Conner. Sir Top Ham Hatt had Bill repainted a different color so they could tell them apart, but the next day Ben went to get repainted when Victor wasn't there. When Victor got there it was to late, and they left.

Latter Bill asked Conner to race him back to the Steamworks, but Conner thought that they were different colors now, but he was wrong.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good, but I wonder if there is going to be another episode were they get repainted again, or they might be blue for the rest of season 17.

S17 Episode Overview: Percy's Lucky Day

Season 17, Episode 14
Air Date: October 3rd, 2013
Writer(s): Davey Moore
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
Percy was waiting for his mail to be loaded at Wellsworth station, but he pulled away to early and the mail flew all over the place. Latter, Percy ran in to some pumpkins on the tracks and his wheels got sticky. Hero said it was bad luck, so Percy started worrying that he was an unlucky engine.

Then he saw Stephen and told him about his problem, Stephen gave him his lucky horse shoe, but Percy dropped it back on the platform on his way out. Then Percy had to take a present to the Duck in dutches. He it was his lucky charm, but after he pulled Ben to safety he realized he didn't have it any more.

While Sir Top Ham Hatt was trying to find out if Bill or Ben caused the trouble Percy went back to Ulfstead castle to tell Stephen about the charm. Stephen told Percy that he never had the charm in the first place, then Percy decided that he didn't believe in lucky charms anyway.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was good, and Bill and Ben arguing in front of Sir Top Ham Hatt was funny. This is the first episode that Bill and Ben start appearing in. There isn't anything else to say about this episode, that's why I call these post's episode overview's.

S17 Episode Overview: The Phantom Express

Season 17, Episode 13
Air Date: October 2nd, 2013
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont, Paul Larson
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
It was night time at Tidmouth sheds, and Percy was excited because he was going to deliver the mail to Ulfstead castle for the first time, but James wanted to play a trick on Percy. He told him there was a phantom express at Ulfstead castle, but once Percy got there Stephen told him there wasn't any ghosts.

Now Percy knew James was joking, and this made James cross, so he tried playing more tricks on them. When Percy got back to Ulfstead castle James blue steam, and Percy thought it was the phantom express. Then Stephen fell for James' trick to, and he got so scared that he fell in the dry mote.

Then Percy fell in the mote to. Then James came, so Percy and Stephen blew there whistles and James fell for his own joke and went to tell Sir Top Ham Hatt about the ghost. Sir Top Ham Hatt went and the engines were soon rescued. Sir Top Ham Hatt was cross with James, so he had to pull the mail to Ulfstead castle every night for a month.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was funny, and I noticed that Stephen is always helping engines find out there problems. It was nice to see a night time theme episode again like The Ghost Engine.

S17 Episode Overview: The Thomas Way

Season 17, Episode 12
Air Date: October 1st, 2013
Writer(s): Laura Beaumont and Paul Larson
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
Harold was rescuing some climbers from a hill, once he landed his blade broke. Then Duck and Thomas came to take him to the Sodor Search & Rescue Center. On the way Thomas had a idea to show Harold all the sights of Sodor from an engine's point of view, but Duck said they must go directly to the Sodor Search & Rescue Center.

Then Thomas had an idea, he told Duck that they had to go to Knapford station to get the engineer to fix Harold, Duck fell for it, but when they got there Harold didn't fit under Knapford station, then Sir Top Ham Hat got cross and they left.  Latter when they got to a tunnel Thomas tried to warn Duck that Harold wouldn't fit, but Duck thought it was another trick, so they soon got stuck half way trough.

Then the engineer had to come and fix Harold's blades so he could fit though the tunnel, then Thomas showed Duck a different route to the Sodor Search and Rescue Center, they soon arrived, and Harold was being fixed.  After that Duck said that there might be three way's, the great western way, the wrong way and the Thomas way.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was great, the camera angles when Harold was flying were good, and Thomas' face at Knapford station was funny. It's nice to see Duck twice in a season, but it looks like they changed his animation a little bit since the last episode he was in.

S17 Episode Overview: The Lost Puff

Season 17, Episode 11
Air Date: September 30th, 2013(UK)
Writer(s): Davey Moore
Narrator: Mark Moraghan

Summary
The engines were at Knapford station were Sir Top Ham Hatt was telling them about some bumpy track and to be careful. Paxton and Thomas were busy watching a workmen trying to catch a duck, but Sir Top Ham Hatt told them not to be silly.  Latter when Paxton got to the bumpy track he was having fun bumping over it and forgot what Sir Top Ham Hatt had said. Then Thomas started playing to, and he soon bumped in to Toby.

Latter Toby told Stafford that Thomas had lost his puff when he bumped in to him, Toby meant that Thomas got his firebox wet and it had to dry out, but Paxton thought wrong and went looking for Thomas' lost puff. First Paxton saw some stream and thought it was Thomas' lost puff, but it was only Gordon.

Then Paxton thought a cloud was Thomas' lost puff, so he went all the way to Ulfstead Castle and Stephen explained that it was just a cloud. After that Paxton decided to go to the Steam Works, once he was there Toby explained about the firebox, then Paxton went to see Thomas and it turned out that he was fine.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was funny, and it was nice that Paxton finally had a role in a episode, after Blue Mountain  Mystery. It was odd that Paxton hauled his quarry trucks all over Sodor for no good reason.

Episode Reviews: The Rest of Season 6

I'm no longer doing single episode reviews, so here is the end of season 6, there are only eight
episodes left. This season is narrated by Alec Baldwin.

Episode Reviews: The Rest of Season 6

Episode Title: Buffer Bother
Writer(s): Ross Hastings
Description:
Sir Top Ham Hatt was inspecting the quarry engines, he said Ben needed new buffers, but Bill wanted buffers to, so he was naughty all day, then the trucks teased him and he backed in to the ditch. Ben came latter and pulled him out, Sir Top Ham Hatt wasn't happy, but Bill got new buffers in the end.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was funny, It was funny when Bill sneezed out the pipe. When Bill went in the ditch it would have been very hard for him to bang up his buffers the way he did in real life.

Episode Title: Toby Had a Little Lamb
Writer(s): Jenny McDade
Description:
Toby was out one day when he saw Farmer McColl waving a red flag, he said his sheep were stranded on the hill side and were about to have lambs, so Toby went to get the Vet. Sir Top Ham Hatt was waiting with the Vet when he got there. Duck tried to clear the line to get to the farm, but he couldn't, so Toby took his old branch line and the lambs were soon safe inside. Toby stayed for a few days so the lambs could stay in Henrietta, and Farmer McColl was very happy.

My Own Thoughts
Not much to say about this episode.  It was strange that Toby had to take a different route to the farm because he was all ready there in the first place, anyway I enjoyed the episode.

Episode Title: Thomas, Percy & the Squeak
Writer(s): Jenny McDade
Description:
Sir Top Ham Hatt arranged a concert with Alicia Botti, and all the engines wanted to take her, but Thomas was chosen, soon he was cleaned up, but when he got to the docks Alicia saw a mouse in Annie, and she screamed loud. Soon Percy came up all dirty, Alicia Botti boarded Percy and they left. That night the engine enjoyed the concert and Sir Top Ham Hatt made a home for the mouse in Tidmouth Sheds, and they named her Alicia.

My Own Thoughts
I didn't really like this episode, but the pun about the squeak was funny.

Episode Title: Thomas & the Jet Engine
Writer(s):Ross Hastings
Description:
Sir Top Ham Hatt told Thomas to get a jet engine from the docks, but once he got there Cranky was in a bad mood and accidentally knocked the switch on the jet engine, Thomas raced by all the engine and back to Knapford station. Gordon was amazed after boasting about being the fastest.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was great and really funny. I also enjoyed the background music, but why would Gordon be surprised if Thomas was going fast if he knew that the jet engine went fast in the first place?

Episode Title: Edward the Really Useful Engine
Writer(s): David Mitton
Description:
Gordon was saying rude things about how Edward wasn't useful anymore, so Percys' driver told Sir Top Ham Hatt, and he came up with a plan. He sent Edward to work with Stepney and Duck took Edwards' trucks. They were being troublesome and Duck soon stopped on Gordon's hill. Soon Gordon came and buffered up, but he couldn't move, so Edward came and pushed him to the station, Sir Top Ham Hatt told Gordon to say sorry to Edward, and there was no more talk about Edward being put out of service.

My Own Thoughts
Not much to say about this episode, but there wasn't any reasoning for Duck getting stuck on the hill, what made him stop?

Episode Title: Dunkin Duncan
Writer(s): Jenny McDade
Description:
The engines had a important job at the incline railway, they were helping Duncan. Duncan was bossy and impatient to get back to the junction. Latter he was bragging about how fast he could work, but then he got pulled up the incline, then the coupling couldn't hold the weight, and he plunged in to a mud pool. Sir Top Ham Hatt came and told him he would work at the incline until he learned to be patient.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was really funny, but for once the accident wasn't the trucks fault. It was funny that the mud pond had a no fishing sign, because there wouldn't be any fish there anyway.

Chuggington Review - Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue

I know, it isn't Thomas related, but this is Chuggingtions' first special and I thought I would do a review on it.

Release Date: August 20th, 2013

Summary
Brewster, Wilson and Koko are moving up to advanced training. Wilson works for the Chuggington rescue emergency rescue squad with Chief Jackman, Brewster gets to fix tracks with the Chuggineers and Koko gets to practice her speed with Zippy. Through out the whole episode Wilson, Brewster and Koko do training exercises and help each other out along the way.

New Characters

Jackman

The head Chief of the Chuggington Rescue Emergency Squad.

Hanzo

Kokos speed test trainer

The Chuggineers

Brewsters' trainers who do repair tracks and other jobs that require strength.

My Own Thoughts
I thought there was way to much rock music in this "movie", but other than that the animation was good and the bright colors were a nice touch. The decorations on the engine's side were a bit strange though.  It seemed like the Chuggineers were ripped off of each other, meaning they weren't all original characters. Over all the movie was very good.

Episode Review: Percy's Chocolate Crunch

Season 6, Episode 18
Air Date: September 20th, 2002
Writer(s): Brain Trueman
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
The engines on Sodor liked being clean, but Percy needed wash downs because he had dirty jobs. At the wash down Sir Top Ham Hatt announced that there was a water shortage, and that each engines could only have one wash down a day. Percy argued that he needed wash downs.

After that Percy went to shunt some trucks at Bremdocks, but when he went to fill them up, the trucks pulled him in front of the coal hopper covering Percy in coal. When he arrived at Callan station Harold was there unloading medical supplies, then he took off blowing cinders and ashes all over Percy.

Percy noticed some sugar cars at Callan station, his driver said they could take them to the chocolate factory, Percy was pleased to have a clean job, but Percy didn't know that earlier a car leaked some oil on the tracks, Percy's driver tried to apply the brakes, but he kept slipping, the he crashed through the chocolate factory, and came out covered in chocolate.

Back at the sheds, the engines teased Percy that he looked good enough to eat, then Sir Top Ham Hatt showed up and said he could have a wash down and a new coat of paint.

My Own Thoughts
Why was there a water shortage on Sodor? There right next to water, there on an Island. The ending was funny, and there isn't much else to say about this episode.

Episode Review: Gordon Takes a Tumble

Season 6, Episode 17
Air Date: September 16th, 2002
Writer(s): Robin Kingsland
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
Gordon was telling Salty about how it wasn't dignified for him to pull freight cars. That night Sir Top Ham Hatt sent Thomas, Percy, Henry and Gordon to take freight cars from the docks. Latter after Gordon left the signal man didn't know that he left the switch pointing to the branch line, but when he realized it was to late.

There were signs that said "Go Slow", but Gordon didn't listen to them. He soon slid off the rails and rolled across a field and stopped in front of a scarecrow. Sir Top Ham Hatt came, he was up happy with Gordon. When Gordon was fixed up he was back working at the dock. Thomas told Gordon that everyone makes mistakes, and Gordon said he was to big for his buffers.

My Own Thoughts
It was funny that Gordon stopped in front of the scarecrow for no good reason, but it was odd that Sir Top Ham Hatt never told Gordon were to take the cars.

Episode Review: Jack Frost

Season 6, Episode 16
Air Date: Sepember 13th, 2002
Writer(s): Paul Larson
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
It was winter on the Island of Sodor. Sir Top Ham Hatt told James and Percy to take coal to the stations because there was going to be a big freeze. Thomas teased James and Percy about Jack Frost, James didn't beleave it, but Percy was a little scared.

When Percy finished he gave the last station his coal because they needed more, so Percy's driver and fireman parked him in a siding and they went home. Soon Percy froze up with icicles all over him, and when James was going home, he thought Percy was Jack Frost.

The next morning Elizabeth brought Percy more coal, and soon his icicle mask melted away, and he was warm again. Back at the sheds James joked that he saw Jack Frost last night, and they all whistled.

My Own Thoughts
I really liked this episode, I used to have the wooden railway Jack Frost Percy, but I got rid of it because of the strange Chinese rubber material. The background music in this episode was good, but the engines should have laughed at the end instead of whistling.

Latter at the Docks, Thomas had a special, he told Percy it was a balloon, but he wondered what kind. Latter at the air felled, James watched the ballon take off, he was jealous and thought that it would take all there passengers.

This episode got really popular on the DVD for some reason. I really enjoyed the ending of this episode with the sunset. Over all I really liked the episode.

Episode Review: Middle Engine

Season 6, Episode 14
Air Date: September 10th, 2002
Writer(s): Brian Trueman
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
Percy had to take cars from the yard to the coaling plant, but Arry and Bert kept playing middle engine tricks on him, he didn't like being a middle engines because he had to go slower. When he arrived at the coaling plant the trucks were unloaded one by one, the Percys' driver and fireman left, Henry backed up pushing Percy on to the loading ramp, Percy was lifted up and tipped out.

That night Sir Top Ham Hatt was cross with Percy, but he didn't know it was Henry's fault. James was boasting about handling the diesels, so Sir Top Ham Hatt sent James to do his work at the smelters. James tried to sound important to Arry and Bert, but they tricked him anyway.

James wouldn't move, so Percy had to take James and the cars to the docks. Once there, the workmen wondered who the red engine was in the middle, James tried to hide using steam, but everyone knew it was him.

My Own Thoughts
This episode was funny because James could have backed away from the cars that Arry buffered up to him, but instead he didn't move. It was also strange that Sir Top Ham Hatt didn't let Percy tell him that Henry bumped him on the loading ramp.

Episode Review: Percy & the Haunted Mine

Season 6, Episode 13
Air Date: September 6th, 2002
Writer(s): Robyn Charteris
Narrator: Alec Baldwin
Summary
It was time for the best dressed station contest, at the sheds Sir Top Ham Hatt told Percy to take some bushes from Mathwaite to Lower Tidmouth station. Percy was scared of the old mine at night, there was a red single, and while he waited the chimney sank in to the ground. Percy told Donald about it the next day, he said it was naughty gnomes. The next night Sir Top Ham Hatt sent Percy to get some more cars for Lower Tidmouth station.

When he got to the mine the other building sank, and the garden gnomes fell out of the cars, Percy thought they were naughty gnomes, so he raced back. He told Sir Top Ham Hatt about it and he explained about the sinking mine and that the gnomes were for the station. The next day Lower Tidmouth station won the contest, and Percy jokes about the gnomes.

My Own Thoughts
It's funny that the engines always get scared by someones story.  The fog was good in this episode, in other episode it's to thick. How could Percy go back, isn't his driver in control? They should have said Percys' driver took him back, not Percy.

Episode Review: Scaredy Engines

Season 6, Episode 12
Air Date: September 4th, 2002
Writer(s): Robin Kingsland
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
It was Halloween and Edward was telling a ghost story when Sir Top Ham Hatt sent Thomas and Percy to the Smelters yard to collect a load. Thomas was busy teasing Percy about ghosts at the Smelters yard, and soon the job was done, Thomas stayed to finish up while Duck and Percy went back.

After they left Thomas started to get scared, he was so scared that he raced all the way back to Tidmouth Sheds. Percy and Duck were watching the fireworks, and Percy wondered were Thomas was, he soon found him at the sheds. Thomas said sorry to Percy about teasing him and they watch the end of the fireworks at the sheds.

My Own Thoughts
I really enjoyed the spooky music track on this episode. This episode was like Percy's Ghostly Trick, but a Thomas version. There was a bad echo in the recording room in the middle of the episode. Over all the episode was great.

Episode Review: The World's Strongest Engine

Season 6, Episode 11
Air Date: August 27th, 2002
Writer(s): Paul Larson
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
The troublesome trucks had derailed Henry while he was pulling a goods train, so Diesel had to come and work at the docks while Henry was being repaired. The next day when Diesel arrived the trucks teased him about not being strong enough, so Diesel made a long line of 20 trucks.

The shunter didn't release the brakes on the trucks yet, but the trucks told diesel to pull anyway, soon the coupling snapped and Diesel plunged in a barge. Latter Sir Top Ham Hatt came, he was cross with Diesel, but Henry made up for lost time. Meanwhile Thomas and Percy had seen the whole thing, they were happy that the trucks got rid of Diesel.

My Own Thoughts
It's funny that a diesel is always only available, why is there never a steam engine? Every buddy knows that today's diesels can pull loads way bigger than that, over 100 trucks.

Episode Review: Twin Trouble

Season 6, Episode 10
Air Date: August 24th, 2002
Writer(s): Brian Trueman
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
One day Donald and Douglas were puffing  through thee country side hauling a heavy load. Up the line Trevor was struggling with a hey wagon, the wheels had fallen off, then Donald crashed in to it, no on was hurt. The twins were so cross that they didn't speak to each other for the rest of the day.

The next day Sir Top Ham Hatt said he needed an engine to work at the smelters yard with Duck, Donald said he wanted to, but he began to miss his twin. That night Donald went to see Douglas, but he was still in a bad mood. The next day Donald backed to close to the buffers and crashed in to them.

Duck went for help, Douglas pulled Donald back on the tracks, then they were happy to be back together.

Review
This episode was funny. It was hard to keep track of Donald and Douglas while writing the plot. I like Donald and Douglas' theme song that played in the background. This episode still teaches kids to get revenge, and a lot of Thomas episode are like this.

Episode Review: It's Only Snow

Season 6, Episode 9
Air Date: August 23rd, 2002
Writer(s): James Mason
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
It was winter on the Island of Sodor, at the station the engines teased Thomas about his snow plow. That night it snowed, and the next morning Sir Top Ham Hatt told the engines they had to have there snow plows fitted. Thomas tried to urge Sir Top Ham Hatt that he didn't need it, but he said every engine needs a snow plow.

The next day Thomas had his snow plow fitted, then he went to collect his special, it was a christmas tree for the villagers. Then Thomas meet up with Toby and they were on there way, but latter there was trouble. Thomas couldn't see the rock ahead and his snow plow broke when it hit it, and it knocked over the water tower. Thomas went on with out a snow plow, it was hard, but they soon arrived.

When Thomas returned, he was worried about what Sir Top Ham Hatt would say, he was pleased that Thomas got to the village with out a snowplow, and said he could go with out one for a while.

My Own Thoughts
It's strange that Thomas didn't use his blue snow plow in this episode.  I liked the Thomas' Winter Wonderland theme that played in the background during most of the episode.

Episode Review: A Friend in Need

Season 5, Episode 8
Air Date: August 20th, 2002
Writer(s): Phil Fehrle, Abi Grant, Jonathan Trueman
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
Thomas hoped to see his new friend Jack when he got to the old bridge near the quarry, he knew the Pack was working there. Jack was loading Max with Alfie, when they were done the workmen told Oliver to move some topsoil, Jack was about to do it, but remembered he was told to not jump in were he didn't belong.

After, Ned was going under the bridge, but he didn't lower his crane arm, so he knocked loose some important key stones, then the bridge started to crumble. Thomas was just coming by so Jack raced under and held up the bridge, Thomas backed up and Jack let go, the bridge pice tumbled down.

Back at the yard Ms. Jenny was pleased with Jack, she said he could stay in the Pack. The rest of the team cheered, and Thomas was happy.

My Own Thoughts
How could Jack be strong enough to hold Thomas up? Nothing else to say about this episode.

Episode Review: Jack Jumps In

Season 6, Episode 7
Air Date: August 17th, 2002
Writer(s): Phil Ferhle, Jonathan, Abi Grant
Narrator: Alec Baldwin

Summary
Ms. Jenny had a special for Thomas, he was to take Jack the front loader to the new construction site. When he got there he asked all the machines if he could help, the he saw the Foreman who introduced him to his oilier.

Then Jack went to work with Alfie, Jack was having fun when Max roared by, Jack told him to stop bullying, the he dieseled away, Alfie said Thank You. Latter the Foreman told Oliver to move some rocks, then Jack went to do it, they told him to stop, but he fell down the hill.

Jack wasn't badly damaged, but Ms. Jenny was disappointed. Then Thomas told him being a good friend is important, and that made him fell better.

My Own Thoughts
This is the first episode for the Pack spin-off series. Thomas told Jack to watch out for Max, when Max and Monty both make trouble, but Monty, for some reason, wasn't seen in this episode. I also enjoyed the background music in this episode. It seems strange that they need three writers to make a four minute episode.
