Character Overview: Edward

Edward is the #2 engine on Sir Topham Hatt's railway. He is a old kind engine, and was first seen in the episode Eward Helps Out, and that was the first original episode written by the Reverend W. Awdry. Some people may not know that Edward was the first character before Thomas was invented. In the episode James, Gordon  and Henry are teasing Edward because he was to old, but one day his driver said he could go out, then he left the other engine's jealous. Edward arrived on Sodor in 1915, and is based on a Sharp, Stewart & Co. engine with a 4-4-0 configuration.
