Weekend Special: Misty Island Rescue Overview

Summary
Thomas was at the docks, and there they were building a new Sodor Search & Rescue Center. A new rescue boat(Captain), would get his own shed, and Harold would get a landing pad. Then Sirtop Ham Hatt announced that the most really useful engine of the day would pull more Jobi wood to the new SS&R, but Diesel thought he was more useful than Steam Engine's so he pushed it away. Thomas chased after him, and rescued him after all most falling of a bridge, the Jobi wood was lost in the water.

Since Thomas saved Diesel, Sir Topham Hatt sent Thomas to the Mainland to collect more Jobi wood. Spencer was going to inside the boat, and there wasn't any room left, so Thomas was set on an old barge. That night on the way to the Mainland,  the chain's broke, leaving Thomas stranded at sea. In the morning Thomas bumped in to Misty Island, Salty told him the story about it before he left Sodor. Once there there was lot's of fog, and Thomas didn't know where he was. There was lot's of mist, and he heard strange creaking noises.

He soon found out that they were the logging locos Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand. Thomas followed them to there logging station. Then Thomas discovered that it was Jobi wood that he was looking for on the Mainland. Meanwhile on Sodor Sir Topham Hatt found out that Thomas was missing, he stopped the construction of the SS&R, and set out a search team for Thomas. Everyone looked all over Sodor, but they couldn't find him. Soon Thomas, Bash, Dash and Ferdinand were finished collecting the Jobi wood, and were heading through the tunnel to Sodor, but on the way they got stuck and they three logging locos ran out of fuel. Percy had the idea of going through the tunnel after Thomas sent them smoke singles from Misty Island. While Percy & Whiff headed through the tunnel, Gordon, James, Edward and Sir Topham Hatt were on the was to Misty Island on the boat.

Whiff and Percy soon found Thomas and pushed them out. Then Thomas, Whiff and Percy pulled Bash, Dash and Ferdinand to Sodor with the Jobi wood. Thomas then went back to Misty Island to get James, Gordon, Edward and Sir Topham Hatt. They went back to Sodor and started work on finishing the Sodor Search & Rescue Center. There was an opening day and Sir Topham Hatt gave a speach thanking the engine's. Then after the ending song plays Diesel 10 appears saying "You will be laughing now steamies", and starts laughing, hinting to next year's film, Day of the Diesel's.

Dinos & Discovery's DVD for 2015 + New Books

The recently revealed book Dinos & Discovery's will have a season 18 DVD with the same title. The episode's are unknown at this time, but it's likely that it will follow Tale of the Brave.


A New book coming out next January is titled Thomas & the Volcano, and latter a second one titled Thomas & the Dinosaur. Thomas & the Dinosaur is a step in to reading grade 2 book as seen in the picture. These two books will be available on January 6th, 2015.

Trackmaster Re-Deisgned for 2014

The Mattel Trackmaster range was re-designed this year making the engine's climb steeper hill's and go faster.

WoodenRailwayReviews to Host Third Live Stream

WoodenRailwayReview's, a popular member of the Thomas Wooden Railway Community, is having a live stream on You Tube tonight(June 13th, 2014) at eight o'clock. It is for his forth year on You Tube and is titled"Birthday Party". This is WoodenRailwayReview's third live stream this week.

MrMps2002 Makes New Review

MrMps2002, a member of the TWR Community has made a new review of the Merrick & the Rock Crusher Set. There was some comedy clips at the beginning and end of the review.


Merrick & the Rock Crusher was released in 2012, and is based on  Blue Mountain Mystery, the  2010 feature length special written by Sharron Miller.

Four Live Streams in Two Days

Last week Wooden Railway Reviews and Keekre24(ThomasWoodenRailway) both had live streams at once on You Tube. WoodenRailwayReviews had a second one a day before Keekre24's.


Keekre24's live stream is removed, but it was a hour long Q & A. WoodenRailwayReview's was a two hour live stream of immaturity and really stupid acting as usual :) You can watch the live stream below.

A new upcoming Wooden Railway set description was released on service.mattel.com. The set is titled Percy & the Little Goat and the Description is below.
