Released: Thomas' Christmas Carrol DVD
Written By: Becky Overton
Summary:
It was the busiest time of the year for the engine's. Thomas went at Knapford Station, and Sir Topham Hatt was there, and he had twisted his ankle. Thomas asked around for an engine to take Sir Topham Hatt, but had no luck. At Brendom Docks Cranky was having trouble with the Christmas Tree. Diesel showed up at the docks with a train, but wouldn't help Cranky. Salty's engine started working again, but he went to far with the flatbed and the tree fell on him.Paxton came to pic up the Christmas Tree and take it to Ulfstead Castle, but it was to heavy. Diesel still wouldn't help. Paxton took the tree himself, but he soon crashed because the train broke. Diesel came by Paxton, but wouldn't Paxton back on. That evening at the Diesel Works, Emily and Thomas pretended to be a ghost to scare Diesel in to helping the other engine's, and told him to go to Brendom Docks that night.
At the Docks Salty was on the boat pretending to be the ghost of Christmas. Diesel was scared away when Salty told him all the thing's he wasn't helpful with. After Diesel left the Docks, Paxton was waiting in the tunnel and scared Diesel again, telling him to help the other engines and think about why it was good.
Diesel was in such a hurry to get away he didn't see the damaged track from where Paxton had crashed, and he came off the rails. The next morning Thomas went to Whiff's wast dump, and dumped garbage all over himself. Thomas scared diesel pretending to be the ghost of Christmas by telling him if he didn't help other engine's he would be left alone forever.
Meanwhile at Ulfstead Castle all the engines and gusts were arriving for the Erals Christmas lunch. Thomas went to rescue Diesel with Rockey, and Diesel went to take Rocky back to the Sodor Search & Rescue Centre. Meanwhile Thomas went to pic up the passenger's and took them to Ulfstead Castle.
Diesel came to Knapford Station, and Sir Topham Hatt was there, with no one to take him to Ulfstead Castle, so Diesel took him. That evening at Ulfstead Castle, Paxton told Thomas that his ghost plan had worked, and that Diesel was now a helpful engine. Diesel said Merry Christmas and everyone laughed.
My Thoughts:
This was a great and funny episode with good background music, but it was still a bit repetitive like "The Beast of Sodor" was. It's really nice that there are long 17 minute episode's now, and they seem to be making season 5 type spooky stories again, and I like that.
