Summary
All the engines were busy getting ready for Christmas. Thomas delivered salt to Tidmouth Town Hall to stop people slipping on the pavement. Sir Topham Hatt was there and told Thomas to go to the docks and get a Christmas crate with red stripes. Meanwhile at the docks Cranky was busy at the docks, then he dropped the crate Thomas was supposed to collect.Cranky hid the crate instead of giving it to Thomas. Thomas raced back to Tidmouth Town Hall and told Sir Topham Hatt the bad news. Sir Topham Hatt told the Mayor there was a delay with the surprise delivery. Thomas said he would go back to Brendom Docks to search for it. When Thomas got to the docks he searched for the crate, but every time he got close to finding it, Cranky moved more crates to find it.
But soon Salty found it and it was loaded on Thomas' flat bead. Thomas couldn't stop when he got to the Tidmouth Town Hall because he was out of sand, so Edward put some on the track and he stopped just in time. The package flew in the air and landed on the lawn undamaged.
In the crate there was everything needed to build an ice rink. Soon everyone was having fun skating. Sir Topham Hatt and the Mayor thanked Thomas for getting the crate, then Thomas said he still thought Sir Topham Hatt needed a sand box to stop him from slipping.
At the Docks Thomas told Cranky, Porter, and Salty the story about what happened with the crate. Then Cranky said he dropped it, and asked if they could let it go because it was Christmas. They said yes, then Salty sang we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Cranky new year, and they all laughed.
My Thoughts
Well, another great season 19 episode. I really like the background music on these episode's. It's also nice that different character's are being used more often, and that Thomas isn't the main character in every episode anymore. That's it for episode review's from the Thomas' Christmas Carrol DVD.
