Thomas & Friends Website Gets New Look in Parents Section

It was strange, I typed thomasandfriends.com is my web browser and a new look website came up, but it was the parents section, then I click on the "for kids" button and the old website is still there. So why would Hit Entertainment/Mattel put the parents section of the website first?

It's a nice new design with a drop down menu and information about Thomas & Friend's for a person new to the program. Meanwhile on the kid's section there is still a white bar on top, but it's blank and no longer shows Hit Entertainment's other brand's. See the new look parents section at the link below.

New Style Bob the Builder is Terrible

Next year in 2015 a Canadian animation company called mainframe is re-designing Bob the Builder for a new series and it looks terrible. It's been getting a lot of bad reaction's online and I don't like the new look either. The character's Scoop, Muck and Lofty look nothing like the original's. Oh well, at least Bob look's like a man and has five fingers.

2015 Thomas Wooden Railway Items Revealed by The Train Cellar

The Train Cellar has revealed image's of the new wooden railway engine's, set's and destination's for 2015 on there website. There is a picture of Samson, along with a special edition set with the original model of Thomas. These image's are just the prototype model's so there will probably be some changes before the release. The next three character's are light up and reveal version's of Thomas, Bertie and Henry.

These three are kind of like last year's Roll and Whistle Series. Next is Origin's James, a special edition of James painted Black as he was before his accident with his wooden brake that Thomas helped out with in the railway series. Next is a destination called the bubble loader, which is as dumb  as Thomas and Percy hauling a giant balloon on a flat bed.:) The last five item's are good. There is the 70th Anniversary Play set, a re-introduction limited release of Culdee, the Volcano Park Play set, which is based of a season 19 episode. A Thomas Collector Special and the Dino Fossil Discovery Cars.

I am looking forward to these new item's and I might do some You Tube review's if I get the engine's. From the image on the left this looks more like a model than a wooden item. Below is the list on Train Cellar to see the full list of item's with the picture's and price's.     View the full list on Train Cellar

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 16 - Toad's Bright Idea

 Air Date: September 15th, 2014(UK)
Written By: Davey Moore

Summary
Gator was at the docks waiting for his boat to arrive. He told Salty that he wanted to be useful instead of waiting around. That night Gator was still waiting at the docks when the dock manager told him to bring Olivers trucks to the docks because he broke down.

Right before Gator got to Oliver his lamp went out, so his driver fixed it. Then Gator took Olivers truck's. Then after a few minutes Gators lamp went out again on the way to the docks. Gator stopped by a junction to fix his lamp again, then Gator said hello to James and he ran away scared of Gator because it was night time.

Then soon after Gators light went out again. Toad started to make Gator cross after stopping him to fix his lamp every time it went out, so Gator left Toad behind on the line. But soon after Gator went back to get him because he ran in to some gravel. Since Gators lamp wasn't working Toad said he had to lamp's, so he gave one to Gator. Then they made it to the docks just in time.

Review
This episode was great, and it was nice that the dock manager talked, and that Toad had another roll in an episode. Why did it take Gator until morning to get some trucks to the docks? And what happened to Olive? Did he just stay on the line the whole night? Other than that the episode was an overall great story.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 15 - Spencer's VIP

Air Date: September 12th, 2014(UK)
Written By: Andrew Brenner

Summary
Sir Topham Hatt was at Tidmouth Sheds and he told the engine's that he was going to win an award for services to transport. And that an engine would pull the VIP, but Spencer was all ready on the was from the main land with him. Spencer raced by Edward and was diverted on the wrong siding, so he went to the clay pit's and by the time he got to Knapford station he was late and the VIP was cross.

Then all the engine's wanted to take the VIP home, because he didn't want to go with Spencer. So for the rest of the day all of the engine's worked hard, but they were showing off and they all made mistake's. So that night Spencer took the VIP home, but the next day everyone showed him how the railway was really run, and the VIP gave Sir Topham Hatt his transport award, then all the engine's went through the station cheering.

Review
It seems that Percy still asks stupid question's, but it's nice that Emily isn't in the episode and Duck and Oliver are back. The expression's on the signalman were funny with him drinking a cup of coffee and scratching his head, something you never see in the series.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 14 - No Steam With Out Coal

Air Date: September 11th, 2014
Written By: Davey Moore

Summary
Bill and Ben were at Brendam Docks collecting trucks for the quarry. They decided to race back, but Ben wouldn't wait for his load of coal, and Bill felt bad he lost because he had to carry the heavy load of stone. Once at the Quarry, Marion got cross with Bill and Ben for not getting coal, but they just giggled and said Timothy was the odd one out because he ran on oil.

Then Bill and Ben joked around while shunting trucks of stone. After that Bill and Ben made Timothy feel bad about his oil while he was re-fueling.  After that Bill and Ben had to get more coal, but there was none left, so Timothy had to get the coal from Brendam Docks. Once the coal was loaded in to the hopper Marion made Bill and Ben say sorry to Timothy for being rude to him. Then they all laughed at the end.

Review
This episode was good, and the expressions on Bill and Ben's faces are really funny. Timothy looks like a replacement character for Fergus, and it's strange that Fergus didn't come back instead of introducing Timothy.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 13 - Missing Gator

Air Date: September 10th, 2014(UK)
Written By: Andrew Brenner

Summary
Percy was at Brendom Docks thinking about Gator, then there was a flashback of when Percy and Gator first meet at Brendom Docks. Then Percy pulled his next load of trucks thinking about Gator as he went up Gordons Hill. Next time Percy didn't want to think about Gator, so he kept very busy.

Latter he went up to Ulfstead Castle to collect a load of truck's, but he wouldn't wait for them to be coupled on, so he raced down the hill and the trucks got stuck in the mine that Stephen found. Percy was brave and went in  to get the truck's. Once they were delivered Percy was back at Brendom Docks thinking about Gator.

Review
This episode was really great, and the expressions of the Troublesome Trucks are getting better. It was funny that the trucks asked Percy for help and were happy and quiet at the end. This episode is mostly made up of flashback clips from Tale of the Brave. It seems that Andrew Brenner is using character's from the feature-length special's, unlike Sidney having a cameo in Day of the Diesels and never being seen until a few season's latter.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 12 - Marion & the Pipe

Air Date: September 9th, 2014(UK)
Written By: Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler

Summary
Marion was fixing an embankment on the mainline, but she also liked to tell stories, so Percy and Gordon avoided her. But soon Thomas came a long and she finished telling him a storie. After Thomas left, Marion burst a hole in a pipe, but she covered it was mud and left. The next day Thomas passed the same spot, then we went to the quarry.

Bill, Ben, and Marion were playing a game of guess what's in the shovel. Then Thomas took Marion to the leaky pipe. Then there was a small landslide, so Marion started to clean it up, but then Gordon came along with the express. Marion knocked a small rock of the track just in time to let him by.

That evening at the quarry Marion was felling a little silly, but Bill and Ben played another game of guess what's in the shovel, it turned out to be mud, again.

Review
Well, it seems like Marion is Emily's replacement character so far. This is a good episode, but why were the workmen laying down not inspecting Marion's work? Normally on a construction site there is a workmen standing by the shovel with a depth measuring stick. Over all the episode was still great, and I really like the sunset scenes.

Episode Review: Seasin 18, Episode 11 - Duncan & the Grumpy Passenger

 Air Date: September 8th, 2014
Written By:  Davey Moore

Summary
Duncan was at the station picking up his passengers, then Rheneas came, and Duncan told him that he had a wobbly wheel and a grumpy passenger. This passenger complained about everything wrong he could think of. At the next station Duncan told Peter Sam about his grumpy passenger.

The next day Duncan got some extra coaches, but he didn't know that they were Skarloey's coaches. Now Skarloey couldn't take his passengers. As Duncan was leaving he saw some workmen waving a flag, but he didn't stop to help. The next morning Duncan's passenger was late, and this held everyone else up, including Skarloey.

Duncan passed the workmen again, and then at the last station Mr Percival was there, he told Duncan that the passenger was always grumpy, so Mr. Percival said to ignore the grumpy passenger and do his work properly. That evening at the station Duncan was happy, and he told Rheneas that he was going to change and stop being grumpy over the passenger. But son after he left the station Duncan was grumpy again.

Review
This was a great episode, and Duncan hasn't been seen much at all in the CGI series, so it's nice that he had a good roll in an episode. I really like the animation on the sunset's in these new episode's as well.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 10 - Thomas & the Emergency Cable

Air Date: September 5th, 2014
Written By: Andrew Brenner

Summary
At Knapford Station Thomas, Annie and Clarabel were watching there passenger's get on. There was a strange man with binoculars. On the third station they got to, Thomas asked him who he was, he said he was a bird watcher. Then someone put on the emergency cable, and the grad put the  brakes on the coaches, then they all stopped.

Annie now had a flat wheel, so everyone crammed in to Clarabel. At Knapford Station the bird watcher said sorry to Sir Topham Hatt and then Thomas went to rescue Annie with Rockey. At the Steam Work's, Annie had to wait for the right wheel's to be shipped in.

So Thomas used one coach. Thomas saw the man with binoculars, so he skipped the station, but then a passenger pulled the emergency cable, and Thomas had to stop anyway. At Knapford Station, Sir Topham Hatt was cross with Thomas for not stopping at every station. Then Thomas went to get Annie who was now fixed. At the end of the episode, the bird watcher spotted the rare bird, a wood pecker.

Review
This was a great episode, and the detail in side the coaches is good. Nothing else to say about this episode.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 8 - Duck & the Slip Coaches

Air Date: September 3rd, 2014(UK)
Written By: Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler

Summary
It was a busy summer day on Sodor, and Sir Topham Hatt was worried about all the visitor's getting to there destination's on time. Latter that night Duck stayed at the shed's with the engine's. And Duck told the engine's how he used slip coaches on the Great Western Railway when it was busy.

Then Sir Topham Hatt came to the shed's to tell the engine's about the busy day tomorrow. James told Sir Topham Hatt about the slip coaches and how they could help. So the next morning at the shed's there were three slip coaches that had come from the main land. James happily pulled them away.

When James got to the first station and released the coach, he didn't listed to Duck about not slowing down, so the coach bumped in to him. The coaches no longer wanted James to pull them and wouldn't move. Sir Topham Hatt came and realized that it was Duck who told them about the slip coaches. So Duck took the train and everyone got to there destination's.

Review
Wow, never heard of slip coaches before, interesting. It was funny that Emily was kicked out the Tidmouth Shed's twice because of Duck staying there. I hope that the slip coaches will be released in all the toy format's next year. One problem is how do the episode's go from winter to mid summer? You would think they would connect, but I guess not. Over all a great episode.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 7 - Duck in the Water

Air Date: September 2nd, 2014(UK)
Written By: Andrew Brenner

Summary
It was winter on Sodor, and James and Duck were at Knapford Station. James was pulling his passenger's and it was raining hard. Then when it was over Harold looked over Duck's line and there was a big puddle on his line. Harold told Sir Topham Hatt that Duck was stuck, then James was told to rescue Duck.

James went to collect Rockey, but he wouldn't wait for his crane arm to be secured. Rockey knocked thing's down on the way including the danger signal that was for Duck. Then Oliver came and hit James and Rockey because there was no signal, then Oliver's driver went to put a danger flag up, but before that Percy bumped all the engine's again putting Duck back in the water.

Harold saw this and told Sir Topham Hatt. James explained that it was his fault because Rockey's crane arm wasn't secured properly. Then after Duck was rescued James took his truck's for him, still grumpy that he couldn't always pull coaches.

Review
This episode was good, it was the first time we've had an early winter on Sodor with rain. What happened to James' driver and fire man? Just like DieselD199 said in his funny episode, they don't seem to have any control over them, but I guess if they did the episode would be boring. It was nice that Duck said his real name was Montague in the CGI series.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 5 - Signals Crossed

 Air Date: August 29th, 2014(UK)
Written By: Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler

Summary
Toby was working at at the quarry, then he had to go to Knapford Station to pic up some worker's for the quarry. On the way Toby was scared of the station. Toby waited some time for his signal, then he raced through the station and hid behind a shed.

Thomas explained that the signal right above the track was Toby's. Toby got his passenger's, then waited at the signal to go out of the station. Toby started to hold up the engine's because his was still red. Sir Topham Hatt came cross at Toby, but then he realized that the signal was broken. He had it fixed right away and Toby was on his way to the quarry.

                                               Review
Wow, it's nice to see Henrieta is now a talking character, but they did the same thing with Butch for some time. Arry and Bert made a nice cameo at the quarry. The only problem with this episode is Toby being scared, why? He is a really old tram engine, he should know about broken signal's by now?

Tale of the Brave Review

Warning! Contains Spoillers

Written By: Andrew Brenner
Release Date: September 16th, 2014(US)

Summary
Thomas was at the clay pit's when Bill and Ben played a trick on him and Timothy. After that Thomas saw some foot prints in the rock's, then he nearly got stuck in a land slide with his truck's but Bill and Ben saved him just in time. After that an intro plays with a jazz version of "Monster's Everywhere".

The next day Sir Topham Hatt gathered some of his engine's to thank Bill and Ben for saving Thomas at the land slide. Latter that day Thomas was working at the dock's were he told Percy about the foot prints. Then Thomas went back to the quarry to investigate. He meet Marrion, a steam shove who was now working to clear the land slide that Thomas was saved from.

After that Thomas got his load at the dock's and Percy asked Thomas if he found the foot prints, and he said no. Back at the dock's Percy raced in thinking that a new engine named Gator was a monster.
Percy then left with his load, now worried about monster's, and a song played called"Monster's Everywhere".

The next day Thomas was picking up another load of rock's from the quarry. Meanwhile at the dock's Percy was getting a load of truck's, but was having trouble because he was so tired from staying up late thinking about monster's.

That night at the shed's Percy told the engine's that he thought thing's like a hey stack and a shirt on the line was a monster. So Thomas took Percys' mail train that night. The next day Thomas' branch line was back open from repairs, so Thomas pulled his coaches. James was upset that he had to pull scrap instead of coaches. At the scrap yard James meet Reg the scrap yard crane.

Then at the dock's Percy saw Gator again because his ship home was late. So Gator told Percy that he was from the high mountain's. He was scared of heights, but Gator explained he was really brave and got over it. That night Percy was brave and pull the mail train again.

After Percy left Sir Topham Hatt told James that he had to pull the Flying Kipper that night. Now James was scared. While Percy was pulling the mail train James was at the dock's getting the Flying Kipper, and not enjoying the small of the fish. After he left he got scared after seeing Gator, and ran right in to a pond.

The next day Percy was happy because he was brave. But at Knapford Station the engine's were teasing James about last night. That night James played a trick on Percy, he put a scrap truck in the middle of the line to scare him. Percy raced back to Tidmouth Shed's with his mail car's waking up all the engine's. Then Thomas explained to Percy that it was something that looked like a monster.

The next morning Sir Topham Hatt came to the shed cross that there was scrap on the line and that the mail wasn't delivered. Percy then delivered the mail, and Gator went along with him while the song "Our Tale of the Brave" played. After that James was moving the scrap back when Thomas discovered that it was the trick James played on Percy.

At Knapford Station Percy delivered the last of the mail and he meet Sir Topham Hatt. Percy was now cross at Thomas and James and he wanted to do something brave. That night Percy wasn't at the shed's so Thomas went to look for him. Thomas first saw Gator who was on his way to the ship.

Percy was at the dock's getting on the ship with Gator, but Thomas was going to the clay pit's to look for Percy with James. Then Thomas remember that Percy wanted to go away, so he raced to the dock's to stop the ship. Crankey grabbed the end of the ship with his hook and stopped it just in time.

After that Thomas discovered that Percy was all ready unloaded from the ship, so he went looking for him again. Percy was at the clay pit's and James was there to. Percy went past the danger sign where the rock slide was. Then James got stuck in the land slide and Percy pulled him out.

The next morning the engine's discovered it was a dinosaur fossil. Then the engine's said sorry to Percy about Jame's trick. Latter that day the dinosaur was put up on a display and Sir Topham Hatt thanked the engine's for finding it.

Then near the end the engine's raced to the dock's to say good by to Gator, who's ship was delayed again from last night's accident. Then the ending credit's roll.

Review
This movie was really great. The country side animation was really nice, and the music was good to. James, Bill and Ben's expression's were really funny. Not much else to say.

Episode Review: Season 18, Episode 1 - Ole Reliable Edward

Written By: Andrew Brenner
Air Date: August 25th, 2014(UK)

Summary
One day Gordon got stuck on his hill because he thought some red trousers was a danger sign. After Edward was slow at shunting Gordon up the hill Gordon started teasing him about how old he was.
That night at the shed's the engine's teased Gordon to get back at him for teasing Edward. The next day Thomas said he would have a race with Gordon.

What Thomas really did was get Gordon stuck on his hill a second time by slowing down in front of him, so Edward would have to help him get up. The trick worked and Gordon said sorry and thank you to Edward and didn't tease him about being old anymore.

Review
This episode was really good and based somewhat on the Railway Series. It's nice to see episode's without rhyming again. Thomas seems to have a more cheeky expression on his face now with the new ARC animation.

Overview: Disney Cars Radiator Springs 500 1/2 Short

This is a Disney Cars short that was only online at Disney's official Car's website. It was a good short, but was only six minute's long. The car's were celebrating Stanly's birthday or something(can't remember), when some off road vehicle's roared up and challenged Lighting McQueen to a race.

They raced all around the area but took the wrong route and by the end they were all dirty and scared.   Meanwhile all the other car's went on a nice drive on the original route that Matter had told them about.

On The Table Reviews: Curious George DVD Collection

This is our Curious George DVD collection, just thought it was something different for You Tube. We have five of them including the feature-length movie. I didn't really like the animation on the movie, but the series was good. I'm not really in to the series, but it's entertaining from time to time. One thing I don't like about these disc's is the ad's before the show, they don't seem to be child friendly. Enjoy the first "On The Table Review".

Summary
It was summer on the Island of Sodor and Thomas was taking on water and a silver engine passed all the others. Then at Knapford Station the engine's wondered who it was. They soon discovered that Spencer was staying for the Summer to help build the Duke and Duchess summer house. For the rest of the day Spencer teased the engine's about what they couldn't do. That night the engine's discussed how bad Spencer was.

The next morning Spencer told Thomas he couldn't pull heavy load's. So Thomas agreed to a race with a heavy load the next morning. Soon it was morning and Edward sent the two engine's of on there race. Thomas had a hard time getting started, but he made it over the hill and his brakes broke. Thomas raced down the hill and crashed in to cars off an old siding and stopped. Then he discovered an old engine named Hero who was the first engine on Sodor. Thomas decided to help restore Hero because his part's never arrived.

The next day Thomas hurried to finish his job's, then he took a old cylinder from the Steam Works for Hero. The next day Thomas was worried, and Percy asked him what was wrong. Then Percy learned about Hero and took Thomas' load for him while he went to see Hero. Once Thomas was finished he discovered that Percy never took the part's because his gear broke, so Thomas took Percy to the Steam Works. The next day Percy was fixed and Sir Topham Hatt came, still cross about the missing mail car's. After that Thomas took Percy to meet Hero for the first time. Then they went home. The next day Thomas and Percy went to look for Percy's mail cars. They started at the quarry. Spencer was there, so Mavis proudly took him under the rock loader, and Spencer was soon covered in dust.

When Thomas and Percy were at the water tower, Spencer came by shunted by Edward and Henry to the Steam Works. His funnel was blocked with rocks and dust from the quarry. Thomas and Percy could now visit Hiro without worrying about Spencer trying to find them. While Spencer was being fixed Thomas and his friends still delivered part's to Hiro. Once Spencer was fixed he tried to find clues to what Thomas and the engine's were up to. Spencer soon found Percy's mail car's on a siding and Thomas, James and Toby chased him back to Knapford station.

Once there Thomas went back to help Hiro, and Spencer followed soon finding Hiro's hiding place. Hiro and Thomas raced away from Spencer, but Hiro soon broke down again. Thomas then found a new hiding place for Hiro. For the next few day's Thomas and Spencer worked on the summer house, and the other engine's took turns guarding Hiro in his new hiding place.

When the summer house was finished, Thomas told Sir Topham Hatt about Hiro and he said Hiro would be fixed at the Steam Work's. A few day's latter the engine's were waiting at the Steam Work's to see Hiro, he was now restored and was the master of the railway once more. Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue Review

Warning! Contains Spoillers

 Summary
Dusty Crophopper was training for his next race with Skipper when something failed. He was brought back to the shed where Dotty informed him that his gear box was broken, and he couldn't race any more. That night there was a party, and everyone was having a good time, but Dusty went out to try and fly again, he crashed in to the tower and started a fire. The Propwash Junction fire engine was old, so after he failed they all pulled down the Water Tower to put out the fire.

In the morning the inspector wasn't happy, he said that they had to cancel the race because there wasn't enough fire safety, so Dusty decided to join the fire team. He meat Blade Ranger and the rest of the fire crew at Piston Peak national Park. Soon after Dusty arrived there was a call for a small fire. It was soon put out, and everyone was back at the base.

After that Dusty started training with Blade Ranger, the chief helicopter. Once done his first round of training, Dusy talks to Chug, Dottie and Skipper about what's happening. They said that they found his gear box, and that it would be mailed soon. Once done talking Dusty went outside to meet the owner of the lodge. Then in the evening they all watched an episode of a series called "Chops", which was about rescue helicopter's in the city.

Once finished there was a small fire, which was quickly taken care of. That night everyone went to the lodge and had a campfire. The next morning Dusty talked to Chug again, and he had bad news, there was no gear box for Dusty anyway. After that there was a big fire announcement, so they all went out. The fire was headed for the lodge, and everyone had to evacuate. Meanwhile Blade Ranger and Dusty were stuck in a mine waiting for the fire to burn over because of Dusty's broken gearbox.
Once the fire burned over, Dusty and Blade Ranger came out of the mine, but Blade Ranger broke down and was taken base to base to be repaired by Maru. Then once Blade Ranger was fixed the rest of the crew went to clear the entrance to the lodge, which was on fire. After that Harvey and Winnie, to camper's, were on a bridge, so Dusty and Blade Ranger saved them.

When they where done Dusty's gear box finally broke, so Windlifter took him back to base where Maru repaired him. A week later Dusty and his gear box was fixed. Once done Dusty was ready for firefighting, and the corn festival was back on. Everyone had a show and then the ending credits rolled.

My Own Thoughts
This movie was one of the worst Disney production's I've seen in a long time. The size's of the plane's kept changing from small to big, and the movie was over all not a kid's movie at all. It's really violent for younger children. There was good comedy like any other Disney movie, and I really wouldn't  recommend going to see this one.

TWRC: Keekre24 Upload's Big City Rumor

Big City Rumor is the fifth episode in the eleventh series by ThomasWoodenRailway(Keekre24). It's about how Paxton wants to go to the big city, so he asked Sir Topham Hatt and he said yes. Then when he(Paxton) was away, all the other engine's got confused and thought he was sent away for good, and made up some other false stories as well.

After the confusion was sorted out at Tidmouth Shed's by Thomas, Duck and Gordon were puzzled at who the replacement engine was before going back to the shed's to get some sleep.
