Season 4, Episode 18Air Date: February 20th, 1995Writer(s): Reverend W. Awdry
SummaryStepney's visit to Sir Top Ham Hatt's railway was coming to an ending, he told Stepney that he would miss him, then he turned to the other engines informing them that they needed some help, and that a diesel was all that was available. He also said to avoid the disturbance's. Duck wondered what that meant, James told him it meant the diesel was difficult. When the Diesel came he told the engines that Sir Top Ham Hatt should scrap them and get more engines like him. The next morning they held a indignation meeting around the turn table. Donald and Douglas wanted to teach him a lesson, but wondered how. There chance soon came the Diesel was boasting to Duck and Stepney when he was ready, but he ground to a stop in front of his coach's. Meanwhile the inspector was looking for his hat that the Diesel had sucked in to his air intake. He was furious when Stepney pushed him back in the shed. Sir Top Ham Hatt said he and Duck would have to take the train. They left and got there early, Gordon was impressed. The next day the engines said good bye to Stepney. Latter the Diesel slipped out while no one was looking and left behind a nasty smell and a battered bowler hat.
ReviewThis episode was funny. The only problem I noticed was that Stepney said James told him that The Diesel was sulking in the shed, but Stepney never talked to James. It was funny when Sir Top Ham Hatt said"bother your hatt", I don't know why.
Over all I give Bowled Out a 3/10
