Season 17, Episode 8Air Date: June 12th, 2013(UK)Writer(s): Davey Moore
SummaryThe narrow gauge engines were finishing up a days work, suddenly Rheneas saw a deer on the line and stopped. Then they finished up there work and went to sleep. Luke was to excited to sleep, he saw the deer again, but he was scared and kept running away. Luke turned off his light not expecting to see the dear again. In the morning he was very surprised to find the deer in his cab. Luke's driver feed him and Luke tried to be quiet, and at the same time keep all the other engines quite. Peter Sam was working so hard on being quiet that he accidentally bumped Rusty's train and made a loud crash, the deer got scared again. Latter Luke had to take a load of stone to Ulfstead castle, the deer enjoyed the ride, it saw it's mom on the way and jumped out to see her, it looked at Luke making sure it was all right to go. When Luke got back the other engines wondered where the deer was, Luke explained the story and he decided that he liked the noisy quarry better anyway.
My Own ThoughtsThis episode reminded me of Percy's New Friend's, it's all most a re-write of it. I like the sunset scenes in the episode, we haven't seen a episode start at the end of the day in a while. The Switch should have came before this episode because if Luke was all ready going to Ulfstead castle he would have meet Millie earlier.
