Episode Review: A Better View for Gordon

Season 5, Episode 3
Air Date: September 5th, 1998
Writer(s): Britt Allcroft, David Mitton and David Maidment

Summary
Gordon was grumpy, he was rude to James and Percy, then Sir Top Ham Hatt told him to take an empty express to the new station, and that he could make up for lost time after. Gordon didn't like the view, he thought there should be a panoramic view.

On the way home his pipes clogged up and he stopped. Then James came by and started teasing him. The next morning when he was fixed he was still boasting to the other engines at the sheds. Then he left for the official opening of the new station, but when he got there his brakes jammed and he crashed through the station wall.

When he was fixed he went back for the second official opening, Sir Top Ham Hatt said his panoramic view was there to stay for the safety of his own rails

Review
The part where Sir Top Ham Hatt talked to Gordon on the sky jack was funny, but how would Sir Top Ham Hatt know about Gordon's panoramic view if he wasn't at the station? It's interesting that this episode has three writers.

Over all I give this episode a 6/10
