Summary
One morning Sir Top Ham Hatt went to see Toby, he told him they were going to the seaside, and they would ride in Henrietta. Soon they stopped at a seaside station, and latter the children had built a nice castle. Sir Top Ham Hatt asked them if they had seen a castle like that, they said yes, and showed Sir Top Ham Hatt a map. Then Sir Top Ham Hatt told Toby they were going exploring, Toby was excited. Soon they came to a old single box, the single man told them there was a old junction ahead, the fireman turned the points and they were on there way. Soon they came to two sings, on lead to the castle and the other to the mine. They went to the castle first, then the mine, Toby was scared of the mine, the little engines used to work there, but now it was overgrown.
Sir Top Ham Hatt told Toby they would restore the castle and the mine for visitors, but Toby was still scared. That night it was Toby's turn to watch the mine, then Toby heard a wheezing sound, Toby thought it was a ghost so his driver and fireman went to investigate. They came back laughing, then Toby went to meet the "ghost", it was a old engine named Bertram, now Toby wasn't scared anymore and he and Bertram were good friends.
My Own Thoughts
It was odd that Toby watched the mine for no good reason when no one watched it in years. Season 5 seems to have lot's of nighttime episodes. The children's castle didn't look anything like the real one. This episode wasn't as spooky as the last two nighttime episodes. Over all I enjoyed it, but why didn't they say Bertram's name was Duke, didn't they all ready rescue him in season 4?
