Episode Review: James & the Trouble with Trees

Season 5, Episode 5
Air Date: Britt Allcroft, David Mitton, David Maidment
Writer(s): September 13th, 1998

Summary
Thomas worked at the coal plant all day, he wanted a wash down, but the pipes were clogged. Back at the shed, James had got a new coat of paint and wouldn't stop boasting about it.

The next day James was teasing Henry, Henry warned James about the trees close to the line. Latter James was showing off his paint again, he saw the other engines working, then he went to get the express, but Sir Top Ham Hatt told him to get a goods train instead.

When he was delivering it a storm came, and up the line a tree slid on the track, James tried to reverse, but the train was to heavy, then Thomas came and helped pull James back just in time. Back in the yard Edward pulled up, he said Sir Top Ham Hatt said Thomas would have a new coat of paint, and James would pull the express the next day.

Review
I didn't really like this episode, it had a lot of revenge in it, but the cars joke to James was funny. It was odd that James got a new coat of paint twice in two day's.

Over all I give this episode a 8/10
