Episode Review: Thomas, Percy & Old Slow Coach

Season 5, Episode 16

Summary

Thomas, Percy and James were watching the sunrise at the docks. James was cross about being overworked with coastal runs. Then he left to get some fuel cars. Meanwhile Thomas and Percy went to take some scrap to the scrap yards. when they got there the workmen said there was more cars to takeaway, the they noticed a old coach, the workmen said her name was Old Slow Coach, and she was going to be broken down when they found the time.

When they were on there way back James' fuel cars caught fire, Thomas and Percy had to stop, but they were soon on there way. Latter when they were taking on water they heard another alarm, the workman's hut was on fire, but the fireman didn't have any water, so Thomas and Percy let them use there's. Now the workmen had no place to sleep so Sir Top Ham Hatt agreed that they use Old Slow Coach. Now she is fixed and really happy.

My Own Thoughts

It seems there are a lot of engine's saved from scrap in the earlier episodes including: Oliver, Toad, Stepney and Old Slow Coach. There is a error in this episode, you can't put out a fuel fire with water, it will just spread, why didn't they use fire extinguishers? I think, but I'm not sure, that this is the only episode the fire rescue trucks are in.
